Welcome
Hi, I’m Chris
Welcome to my page fellow cooks! As a self-taught cook and lover of food, I also love to cook as the many others that come to my page do. The difference is, I bring home cooking and simplicity together so you, your friends and family can all enjoy these easily prepared dishes that even the beginner in the kitchen can whip up.
At an early age I took an interest in cooking. With fresh meat from one of our butchered steers, chickens or pigs along with an unlimited supply of fresh herbs and vegetables from our own garden, I was destined to take these things and create meals. At a young age I literally started with scrambled eggs as my first solo cook. Now I cook with some of the finest meats, herbs and freshest veggies I can find using honed in techniques that make a gourmet style dish that you can make in any kitchen.

Where this all began
As a kid, around 5 or 6 years old, like many others had hard working parents. My dad was working in the city and running a full blown farm and ranch. My mom was working a full time job in the city and sometimes traveled out of town or even out of state along with helping around the farm when she could. Around this time and age of my life, my mom had taken a temporary job in Washington D.C. and moved there. My dad as mentioned was working double time so those early mornings before school, evenings while He was out feeding cattle and with my mom in D.C., I had to learn to cook. I started with a simple scrambled egg. Few days later after mastering the egg alone, I added cheese. Then came bell peppers, onions which were both fresh out of our garden. Several weeks later I found corn tortillas in the pantry and decided to cut a couple up into little pieces and add it to my egg mixture. I didn’t even know migas were a thing at that age but I came up with it and loved it. Then a few days after that, I slapped this same concoction on a flour tortilla to make a taco and never looked back.
From my story about scrambled eggs to cooking my Smoked Cedar Plank Maple Glazed Salmon or Wagyu Stuffed Cheeseburger Egg Rolls, I hope my recipes find there way onto your table and you enjoy them as much as I do. If you don’t see the recipe you were looking for, I would love to hear about it or any of your ideas so I can create something new.
