  • 2 oz favorite Tequila
  • 1 oz cointreau
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz orange juice

  • 3/4 cup crushed ice

Instructions

  • Add 1 cup of cubed ice to a cocktail mixer
  • Measure and pour tequila, cointreau, simple syrup, lime juice, lemon juice and orange juice into the cocktail mixer
  • Place lid on cocktail mixer and shake until well mixed
  • Pour salt, tajin or sugar on a plate, wet the rim of whatever glass you would like to use and set the glass upside down on the plate submerging the rim into your desired garnish
  • Fill the glass 3/4 full with crushed ice and carefully pour your margarita into your glass making sure not to hit the rim
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe is great with a reposado, feel free to experiment with any flavor of tequila
  • Fresh limes are key to a good margarita but a bottled version can do in a pinch
  • Chill your serving glasses prior to pouring to keep your ice from melting down so fast and diluting your cocktail
